At the top of the search results page, you might notice a drop down box labeled Sort by. Here's how each option works.
Most Relevant
This is the default setting for searches with no set location. Results are ordered by relevance to the search parameter. For more details see How search results are ranked and sorted.
Nearest First
This is the default setting for searches that have a location. If a user inputs a location, the results will appear in order of closest proximity to the yellow pin on the map. Using a specific street address will get better results from this sorting tool.
Resource Name
Search results are sored in alphabetical order according to resource name. This is helpful for users who know the name of a particular resource to easily scroll through results to find their preferred listing.
Provider Name
Search results are ordered alphabetically by the organization name, then the resource name. Depending on how entries are made in your database, this feature may function the same as "Resource Name".
